Young actor Jacob Hopkins is the latest to join the cast of True Blood, which returns to HBO for its fifth season on Sunday, June 10. His character plays a pivotal role this season, as the child vampire of the ‘Vampire Authority’…

Jacob as Alexander on True Blood (Credit HBO)
You play a young vampire in True Blood, tell me about your character?
I play Alexander Drew. He is described as impetuous vamp who likes to taunt others. He is basically a trouble maker. He was turned at the age of nine. So I’m like an old man stuck in a little kid’s body. But if you want to talk authority, I’ve got authority – I get to taunt the big guys – I’m that important!
The show is aimed at much older audience, are you allowed to watch it at all? If not, how did you prepare for the role?
Well, in human years, of course not! I am not allowed to watch the show. My dad is an actor and my acting coach and he really prepared me for the role. Not to mention, I love vampires. I have books about them and I am very fascinated with them. When I found out I booked the role, I couldn’t stop reading about vampires!

Who?
Best known for her seven-year role as Rory Gilmore in Gilmore Girls. You might also recognise her as Lena in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants, which she starred in alongside Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively and Ugly Betty’s America Ferrera.
Why do I love her this week?
I’m just in love with her guest appearance in Mad Men at the moment, it’s like if she couldn’t play Rory forever, then playing Beth Dawes was her next calling. Move aside January Jones!

The Make It or Break It series finale aired on Monday, is anyone else still mourning this devastating loss?
Luckily on June 11th, we might have something to fill the void. New series, Bunheads, is debuting on ABC Family. Focusing on a group of ballerinas (hence the buns on their heads), the Executive Producer is Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of Gilmore Girls! This surely guarantees a spectacular dialogue and a fast pace. It also features Kelly Bishop, aka Emily from GG. I hope she plays the same type of character; there is nothing wrong with typecasting in my opinion.
I hope they’ll all be as dedicated to ballet as Payson, Lauren and Kaylie were to gymnastics, and addicted to coffee as Rory and Lorelai were! Will you be tuning in?

Who?
Probably best known for her role’s as Lux in Life Unexpected and Cassie in The Secret Circle, she has also starred in Avalon High, Cherry, Triple Dog and appeared in Scream 4.
Why do we love her this week?
It’s definitely the right time to love young Hollywood, what with the Nylon Young Hollywood Issue party this week. At which Britt unveiled that she’s the new Global Brand Ambassador for Tommy Girl! Also, The Secret Circle aired its first season finale last night, packed with magical drama of course!
Maleficent is becoming Magnificent. I wasn’t really bothered about it when just Angelina Jolie was being touted as the main attraction, but now that Elle Fanning and India Eisley are on board - heck yes please!

The stars of Spring Breakers recently spoke to Interview magazine about their new movie. It follows four college students - played by Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Rachel Korine - who get in trouble with the law after robbing a restaurant to pay for their vacation over Spring Break.
Interview by Jennifer McKenzie (@ImJeej)

You’re currently starring in ABC’s The Middle, what was your reaction when you landed the role?
To be honest… I did my happy dance. Mostly consisting of a combination of random moves which included noodle arms/legs, and jumping up and down. Then, after finally calming down, I replied, ‘Yes, yes, this is quite adequate.’ I like to joke around that I’m a proper gentleman.
What has been your favourite moment of the series?
For the series, building the kids’ characters…Brick, Sue, Axl. I think there are so many families and kids that can relate to the majority of these storylines and the brother/sister/brother relationships that have been going on this season. It has all been very funny. As for Ashley, I’m going to have to say the moment that’s yet to be seen in the next Prom episode on May 9.
Oh yes, there are rumours you have a big storyline coming up for the Prom episode… any hints for us?
To a girl called Maxwell….

Is anyone else wondering if she popped straight out of the womb in high heels?

Who?
Alexandra was featured in the Red Pages Hot 100 list this year, and although you might recognise her for her role in As The World Turns, she’d widely known now for her ‘double’ starring role in ABC Family’s The Lying Game. The hit teen drama is currently airing on Channel 5 in the UK, demonstrating its worldwide success.
Why do we love her this week?
The Lying Game was picked up for a second season this week. Big sigh of relief, I don’t think I could have coped if the cliffhanger was left unanswered. There are still so many things to be revealed!

Former Sister, Sister star and current reality star Tamera Mowry has announced that she is expecting her first child with new husband Adam Housley.
When I spoke to her back in September, she said she’d like to start a family in about two years. A little quicker than expected, but if you’re happily married, why wait? Click here for the full interview.
Due this November, it’ll mean Tia’s little boy Cree will have a little cousin to play with. And possibly get a spin-off show? Cousin, Cousin or Cree and Chris? Kidding… Kind of.
The second season of Tia & Tamera premieres on the Style Network on June 11, will we see Tamera finding out that she’s pregnant? Will season three follow her through the pregnancy and birth? With all this happening to Tamera, what will Tia’s drama be?
When Lana Del Rey released her video for Carmen, my first thought was, why can’t she release Summertime Sadness instead?
Turns out, that’s her next single!

It’s not a homemade video for once, she’s enlisted the help of a whole team of stars. Not only does Hart of Dixie’s Jaime King star in the video alongside Lana, her husband Kyle Newman is directing it with Spencer Susser. Alex Pettyfer even helped out as a production assistant!

Who?
There are many different ways to describe him I’m sure… I’ll go with, witty and ‘honest’ judge and mentor on The X Factor USA, former judge/mentor of the UK version and he also sits on the panel of Britain’s Got Talent.
Why do I love him this week?
Let’s be honest, as much as I adore J-Lo, Steven and Randy, this season of American Idol is not great. And Steven is so grumpy now - give Holly a break! With all this hype about Britney joining the judging panel of The X Factor USA (and other stories about Simon, which shall remain unsaid…), my mind has been wandering to when we’ll see Simon back on our screens. Anyone else missing Drew Ryniewicz? Here’s hoping his team this year will be just as good!
Where and when can we see him next?
Aside from Britain’s Got Talent (on at the moment), The X Factor USA starts back this fall, sans Nicole Scherzinger (yay!), Paula Abdul (boo, I’ll miss you!) and Steve Jones (well, they were never going to get better than Ryan!). Hopefully with Britney joining the panel.. Oh please let their be a Britney week (every week?)! Counting down the days…

The former teenage witch (who is also celebrating her birthday today) already has two boys, Mason and Braydon, I have my finger’s crossed for a little girl this time. Melissa’s latest TV venture, Melissa & Joey, premieres its second season on May 30 on ABC Family.
Meanwhile the True Blood stars are probably just hoping for a healthy human baby. The rest of us are hoping it’ll be a vampire… True Blood debuts with season five on June 10 - will the pregnancy be written into the plot?

Who?
Best known for her roles on Clarissa Explains It All and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, she has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars.
Why do we love her this week?
Nostalgia! It was announced this week that Sabrina is getting a revamp. Originally she started out as a Archie comic book character, which then spawned into the sitcom starring Melissa. Now it’s being turned into a film, with Sabrina as a superhero. I don’t know how I feel about this, Melissa Joan Hart will always be the real Sabrina to me, and I don’t see how any film could top Sabrina Goes To Rome, or Sabrina Down Under. Surely?!
When and where can we see her next?
She’s currently starring alongside Joey Lawrence (from Blossom) in ABC’s Melissa and Joey. Alternatively, dig out your Sabrina and Clarissa boxsets!

Have you ever noticed how many celebrities look like each other? It’s like they are one big family!
Jane Levy and Emma Stone - not only do they have matching faces in common, but if you watch Easy A followed by Suburgatory, you’ll find a similar acting style and sense of humour. With Emma doing so well in the past year, you can see why Jane Levy is featured in the Red Pages Hot 100 for 2012 (that and because the performance she gives in her TV show warrants great credit!).

Jane on the left, Emma on the right
Red Pages Hot 100 2012 pick Alexandra Chando is a doppelganger Nina Dobrev. Alexandra actually auditioned for the role of Elena Gilbert in The Vampire Diaries, which ended up being given to Nina! Guess they were going for a certain look…

Everyone’s been talking about this new film, Spring Breakers. But what does the plot actually hold in store for us?
Where it all began… A bunch of innocent girls just wanting a good time.

Selena Gomez isn’t going to let anyone mess her around on Spring Break.

Hilary Duff has posted a photo of her adorable baby boy on her website.

Isn’t he cute?!
There are two things I love about this. Firstly, that she didn’t wait and sell the first shot to a magazine for some obscene amount of money, she took control and did it herself. And secondly, that he’s not a fat baby! Okay, sometimes fat babies can be cute. But I’m enjoying that he looks healthy, fresh and has those massive blue eyes!

Hollywood may produce some of the most beautiful and talented people. However, you’ve got to give Australia it’s props, it’s had Liam and Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Kwanten, Kylie Minogue and Delta Goodrem.
Now, Indiana Evans and Brenton Thwaites are emerging into the spotlight. Both of Home and Away fame (though not at the same time), they are currently shooting a remake of The Blue Lagoon in Maui. It’s a hard life.

Brenton and Indiana - lost at sea! Or should I say, lost at Lagoon?

Indiana laughs as Brenton tries to protect them… Does he realise it’s a toy gun? It’s not going to fend off any Lost-style monsters (like polar bears?)

Who?
Move aside Robert Pattinson, there’s a new kid in town. Aussie actor (formerly in soap Neighbours, his hair has since improved), starred alongside Miley Cyrus in The Last Song (brilliant film) and now is best known as Gale in The Hunger Games.
Why do we love him this week?
The much-anticipated Hunger Games came out on Friday, so everyone should have seen him in it by now! He’s not in it (or the book) as much as I feel is appropriate unfortunately. However, he’s been holding his own and planting himself well and truly in the spotlight - rumours that he’s engaged to Miley, Teresa Palmer raving about what a great kisser he is, and copious amounts of print and TV interviews.
Where and when can we see him next?
Any decent cinema will have The Hunger Games showing over the next few weeks. Don’t miss out! He’s also appearing in AWOL, alongside Teresa Palmer and Aimee Teegarden, out this year, as well as The Expendables 2.

Everyone is going mad for the return of Mad Men last night. Pretty exciting stuff. However, what’s waaaaay more exciting is the return of Make It or Break It tonight!
The gymnastics drama has been gone for what seems like, forever left us with the three girls winning at Worlds. Emily had disappeared into oblivion due to pregnancy (both real and in the storyline) and I don’t think she’s planning on coming back. Sob! She was the underdog! This season will see them preparing for the Olympics, and probably also fighting over boys while wearing sparkling leotards. The recipe for a great show! Can’t wait until tonight? Hilary also has a number of albums, oh yes, and has written a few novels. A girl of many talents!
Why do we love her this week?
She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy! Weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and called Luca Cruz Comrie. Congratulations! (PS If you missed her decorating her pregnant stomach at Christmas, click here)

Bethany Joy Galeotti, soon to be Bethany Joy Lenz again, has confirmed on her blog that she’s getting a divorce.
She wrote:
As most of you know, as much as I love to share with you the magic of ordinary days, I am also very private about my personal life. In fact, the only reason I’m saying anything about this at all is because you’ll all be wondering soon why everyone is calling me “Bethany Joy Lenz” again. I’m sorry to say that Michael and I have decided to divorce. We remain friendly and dedicated to raising our beautiful girl in love and we appreciate your prayers and support during this difficult time. One Direction are set to perform What Makes You Beautiful at the Kid’s Choice Award on March 31, and are guest-starring in iCarly on April 7. They are also appearing on Saturday Night Live on April 7, with Sofia Vergara hosting. Mike Delfino from Desperate Housewives.
Why do we love him this week?
We were remembering him this week, as his character on DH was tragically shot dead on Sunday. Teri Hatcher has spoken out about the death, saying that she was devastated because it leaves Susan in exactly the same position as when the series first started - a single parent with a young child, sad and alone.

After a fleeting return to Tree Hill (he didn’t leave the airport), my favourite triple-barrelled actor has signed up for a new TV show.
Chad Michael Murray is starring in a pilot called Scruples for ABC. The drama is based on a book by Judith Krantz and is said to be dominated by ‘sex, revenge and scandal’. So nothing new, then. Hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Chad is playing a character called Spider (um…), who is a ‘photographer-turned-creative director’. Okay, we’ll bite. But to be honest, this sounds like it’s going to hit the Dirt.
So it looks like pilot season is seeing Chad and ex-wife/ex-co-star Sophia Bush pitted against one another. Which one would you tune in to?

Jillian Rose Reed, who stars opposite Ashley Rickards in Awkward (Photo credit Deidhra Fahey Photography)
You’re currently playing the role of Tamara in MTV’s Awkward, what’s been your highlight so far?
The highlight for me so far has been getting to have a love interest. I’ve never played a part with a romantic story line before. It’s fun getting to explore that!
How did you find out that you had the part, and what did you do the celebrate?
I was at Olive Garden with my mom and my agent and manager called me! They made me step outside so that I could scream! Then my mom came out to scream with me. I’m surprised they didn’t take our food away!
Who do you get along with best from the Awkward cast?

What can we look forward to about your role in upcoming film My Super Psycho Sweet 16: Part 3?
By Jennifer McKenzie (@ImJeej)

Who?
You may know her as Violet Beauregarde in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Opal in Because of Winn-Dixie, Leslie in Bridge to Terabithia (with Josh Hutcherson)or as Bethany Hamilton in the inspiring Soul Surfer.
Why do we love her this week?
The CW finally announced who is playing the young Carrie Bradshaw in The Carrie Diaries. Rumours of Blake Lively, Emma Roberts and Elizabeth Olsen were finally put to rest as AnnaSophia was cast in the role. I didn’t read anywhere, nor consider her for the role myself, but I think she’s a brilliant choice! Finger’s crossed the pilot gets picked up for a full season.
By Jennifer McKenzie (@ImJeej)

When I hear the name Stephen Colletti, I’m immediately transported back to the days of Laguna Beach and the many beach parties they enjoyed, and his on-off drama with Kristin Cavallari.
However, since 2007 he has been a series regular on One Tree Hill. That’s right, back when The CW show was still in high school, Chase (Stepehen) was roaming the hallways as a ‘Clean Teen’ who caught the attention of Brooke (Sophia Bush). Now Chase is the bar tender (sorry, bar manager) at Tric and after dating Mia (Kate Voegele) has moved onto budding country superstar Alex (Jana Kramer).
As One Tree Hill is currently airing its last ever season (say it ain’t so!), I catch up with Stephen on his OTH high points, post-Tree Hill plans and his special respect for Meryl Streep…
Looking back on the show, what’s been your favourite episode to film, and to watch?
Stephen: Every season finale and season premiere. The anticipation of the first episode only seems to grow with excitement each season with a fresh canvas. However, on the other side of the OTH coin, I’m proud to wrap up another season and enjoy the finished work of all that we accomplished and learned.

Who?
Star of Friday Night Lights and Disney’s PROM.
Why do we love her this week?
She’s landed a role in a new show called The Selection, described as a futuristic love story. It sounds faintly familiar to anyone who’s read The Hunger Games! Based on the book by Kiera Cass (out on April 24 – new obsession?), it sees the main character being picked from a lottery (ahem, reaping) to ‘participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads’.
Where and when can we see her next?
Tyler Sheild’s exhibition at the Imitate Modern opens tonight (February 24). He’s known for his photography work in the art and celebrity form, and models have include Emma Roberts, Demi Lovato, Dianna Agron, Heather Morris and many more.
